Specter: The Low Road

Joe Sestak is running positive ads that showcase his accomplishments, and some recent polls show that he is closing in on Specter. So what does Specter do? He has begun to run his own ads that attack Sestak and distort his record as three-star admiral in the Navy and his record as a member of Congress. Is anyone surprised that Specter would begin taking sleazy cheap shots against Sestak? I'm not. Specter, who is trying to pretend he's a Democrat in his desperate effort to hang onto a Senate seat that he seems to believe he's entitled to, is resorting to tactics that are eerily similar to the swift-boating tactics used against John Kerry and Max Cleland. No one who engages in such despicable behavior deserves our votes.
