Maureen asked me to remind everyone that the school board will meet tonight at 8:00 at LMHS and that the agenda includes the following items:
1. many awards will be given for amazing student achievements;
2. the budget is being passed;
3. the contract for Ken Roos, the solicitor representing the school district in four federal law suits, is up for renewal;
4. the district is considering an archiving policy that would allow them a 72 hour period to delete emails; and
5. there will be a number of residents speaking out about the Narberth school building.
Jim has promised a special treat for those staying through public comment. So bring some work, catch up on email, do some knitting, read a book, but please be at Lower Merion High School tonight.

ReplyDeleteThe budget was passed, the email policy was tabled (yeah!) Ken Roos was re-apponted over the objections of Melissa, and a song was sung.
The first 90 minutes of the meeting were the awards- great stuff!
I urge people to watch the meeting on the district website. See the awards, see Melissa try to get a discussion on the solicitor, and hear the song that closes the meeting.
We need to keep fighting for out schoolhouse!
